Osaka's menu includes Japanese favorites like sukiyaki, teriyaki, tempura and yakisoba along with a vast variety of sushi.
Bento ($12.95/lunch, $18.95/dinner): Served in a red and black lacquerware tray, this is more like a generously-sized sampler than a boxed lunch, which is the original meaning of "bento." Beef and chicken teriyaki, tempura, yakisoba, and sushi - everything is nicely arranged and beautifully garnished with enoki mushrooms and fiery orange pickled daikon. The beef teriyaki is especially good, being neither too salty nor too sweet.

Tonkatsu ($7.95/lunch, $14.95/dinner): A wafer-thin pork cutlet is given a crunchy panko coating and cut into strips for dipping in the russet-colored, slightly barbecue-flavored katsu sauce, making a combination high on the yummy scale. Stir-fried veggies, rice and miso soup round out the deal.

Ichiban Love Boat ($22.95/person): With a name like that, how can you
resist? Presented on a large, boat-shaped serving tray, this Japanese tour
for two includes five Nigiri (raw fish on rice) and three Maki (rolled
sushi): California Roll, Tempura Roll, and Tekka Maki. Also included is
Teriyaki Salmon and Prawn and Vegetable Tempura.

Vegetarian options: Japanese cuisine abounds with meat-free choices. Tempura, bento, stir-fries and yakisoba can all be ordered as vegetarian. Try a Spicy Tofu Stir Fry ($13.95) to get your taste buds doing the two-step.
